My name is Jeanette Jimenez and I am a Visual Communications major at San Francisco State. 

Design-wise, I am interested in print, layout and editorial design. My influences are usually found in my Tumblr and Instagram feeds. I am also influenced by my classmates because they are all incredibly talented. Since day one in DAI, I have found their ambition and passion for their work inspiring and refreshing. They help me work harder at finding my own style and improve on my skill set. I also find the support we all have for one another throughout the program influential and comforting.  

Other interests include but are not limited to: autumn weather (sweaters, boots, and bonfires, y'all), coffee, food (mainly sushi, pizza, donuts & ice cream), discovering music on Spotify, reading, leather jackets, and trying to perfect my wing eyeliner and lipstick game. I also enjoy being under the night sky, looking at the moon and stars, surrounded by a town's fairy-lights. You can also find me watching Once Upon a Time cuddles underneath a blanket and a hot cup of hot chocolate or tea (depending on my mood).

Academically, I hope to graduate this semester and hopefully one day pursue my master's in marketing. 

Professionally, I hope to work for either a media based company (like PopSugar or Elite Daily) or in editorial working on layouts and branding. Advertisement is something I would like to get into one day. I would love to work in San Francisco but I would also love the opportunity to work in another city, like New York or Boston. 

Socially, I would like to travel. The only country I have been outside of the United States is Mexico, and I haven't been there in 12 years. I barely ever have gotten out of California, only visiting family in Arizona where the town was near the California state line. I'd love to visit Seattle, Portland, New York and Boston. Travel over-seas to London, Ireland and Spain.
